About Us

Founded by Lucy McKenzie and Kirsteen Metcalfe, Pride and Joy Ltd is now run by myself, Tertia Bailey, and Sarah Struthers, mothers with seven children, four dogs and three goldfish between us.

I was finding it virtually impossible to find attractive, logo-free knitwear which both the children and I liked, until a friend suggested Pride and Joy. When I heard that Lucy was selling, to concentrate on other things, I couldn't bear the idea that others wouldn't have the chance to buy these wonderful, traditional pieces.

We offer simple, wearable and practical knitwear. I am very excited about the challenge of developing Pride and Joy. All the clothes we feature are lovingly hand crafted, from home, by our team of Scottish knitters. In a world of mass-produced, repetitive goods, we are proud to be employing their traditional skills and unsurpassed dedication. People talk about food miles, we are keen to promote the importance of "clothes miles"; clothes that are produced within the UK and are recyclable after a long life of duty!
